Some of our family came to town this past week. This is how Lily and Lincoln were passing time awaiting
their arrival! Laundry baskets are always a hit in our home whether they are empty or full!

She dragged him all over the upstairs. He loved it!

While our family was here we attempted to take them to cool places like Red Rock Canyon.

This is the view from the visitor's center. What we saw was quite awesome.

Lily had fun searching for fossils and climbing on the huge lizard. But it was short-lived entertainment.

The departing picture with her uncles. (Notice Chloe is not in any of these photos)...

Because her eyes were swollen shut at one point. Just as we entered the park her eyes started swelling. At one point they were so swollen that she couldn't open them more than a 1/4 inch. So, our trip to Red Rock was short-lived so that we could get her home and load her up with some
Benadryl.

She did not have any fun on that trip.

But a day later she was fine as we toured through the
Bellagio.

Tired of eating at the buffet and tired of shopping.

Jared and Jordan were a hit while they were here. I don't think the girls ever gave them much alone time.

Enjoying the water show at the
Bellagio.

Loving family time!

Then a few days later we went to the Valley of Fire. Jordan climbed on
everything he could!

Chloe climbed, but is afraid of heights, so never went too high. She loved finding all the "rooms" in the rocks were the Indians could hide. We just learned about
petroglyphs and Indians in history, so this was all very, very cool.

Hiking with children is never complete until there is some whining or pouting. This didn't last too long once she discovered that she has no fear and could climb on anything! (That we'd let her)...

The views are just incredible.

Mouse's Tank was the perfect length trail for us. So much to explore and climb.

Jared, Jordan, Chloe and Lily

Once high enough, she would pose for the camera, quite proud of her accomplishments!

At the end of the trail.

So much fun! I wish I had the photos that I took with Nana's camera to add to these!
When we dropped Nana, Jared and Jordan off at the airport it was so sad. The girls cried most of the ride home. They both put on their winter coats and packed a bag totally anticipating "sharing" Uncle Jordan's ticket and flying back to New York. Chloe informed me that she hates Las Vegas because there is no snow here. I told her I'd take here up into the mountains again.
What can I say? We miss the east coast and we really miss our family.
